Quick guide
Welcome to Onexposure - 1x.com, the photo community with a difference! Read this short introduction to get started!
To upload photos go to "Account" and click "Submit photo". Your photos will be screened by a team of 9 editors as well as hundreds of members. The official editors always decide in the end if the photo fits into our collection or not. Click on "Screening" to influence whats being published. Screening usually takes a day or two, but up to a week is normal. If you want suggestions about how to improve a rejected photo, select it in "Uploaded photos" in "Account" and post it for critique.
If you want to collect favourite photos from other photographers, open up a photo and click on the star icon. You will find your list of favourites in your profile. Another click on the star will remove the photo from favourites.
A very important part of Onexposure is the "News"-tab, which also includes your friends and watch list. In "News" you get information about screening results, you can answer comments on your photos and much more. When there is something new the tab will glow in blue.
To keep track of favorite photographers, add them to your watch list by opening up their profile in the "Artists"-tab and click on the star icon. The watch list can be found in the "News"-tab in the top navigation. You can also add someone by clicking edit in your watch list and make a search. When someone on your watch list has a photo published, a notification will be sent out in News.
You can make friends with people on your watch list, to see their online status and chat with them if they are online. Click add to friends below their name in the watch list to send a friend request. You can have maximum 20 friends on you friends list, so only add people you know.
Mail makes it possible to send messages to other members. If you have new messages the "Mail"-tab will glow in blue.
