King Douglas wrote 5 months ago Well done...where is this? Looking at this image, I long to be standing on that shroe. Ian Goodman replied 5 months ago Thanks King :) This is from Burniston along the North Yorkshire coast, You can just make out Scarborough castle standing on the headland in the distance. It's a small break in the cliffs called Crook Ness on the dinosaur coast, lots of dinosaur footprints in the bed :) Latitude: 54°19'34.84"N Longitude: 0°25'18.10"W King Douglas replied 4 months ago Ian, I hope to visit Yorkshire and when I do, I'll have my GPS with me and the coordinates you provided will be entered. I'm looking forward to seeing this view in person. Thank you! Ian Goodman replied 4 months ago A nice way to see a little bit of our beautiful countryside in North Yorkshire Moors :) is the old moorland steam train. Come inland about thirty minutes to Pickering (54°14'53.77"N - 0°46'41.67"W) and get a day pass, the train travels through some great valleys and forests, you can get off in our wee villages and hop back when you please :) www.nymr.co.uk |
