Wonderful sunset picture. I would have eventually cloned out the flares in the foreground, I think. But that's a minimal flaw.

I thought about that, but I finally felt the glints off the chair gave a point of context that was important, could be wrong though...?

Well, I don't think you're wrong. It was just a humble opinion, I found it a bit distracting, but not a big deal at all. Important is, what you think about it; if you deliberately left the flares in, then it's O.K.
Anyway, the picture is wonderful and moody. I like it a lot.
