My opinion is:
- To much darkness, even for a night photograph
- The whole picture looks like fresh from photoshop, The whole sky from dark blue to blue and black. Also I can hardly believe you can take a shot like that, natrualy almost impossible you have to take the picture from a to high building if you even want to see how the lightning pops out the clouds.
And even if the hight are real,l will pray for those who survived that lightning, if even you cant see a building from 15meters weidth but you can see a lightning from 5-30 meters weidth.

Like i said, It's impossible to make a shot like that, further nice picture, only I believe it issn't real.
Hey Vincent
Thank you for your saying comment:-)

You have a good point with the darkness.
I have to say that I'm disappointed to hear that you don't think that this is at "real" photo. Yes, the picture is taken from a high building, but there is no special effects in it. It's a RAW and in the conveting I've modifyed the photo a litle.
In Photoshop I've croped the photo modifyed "levels".

So it IS possible to take a picture like this :-)

Have a nice weekend!
Kasper

Sorry for my bad English.
Outstanding! I always wanted to capture lightning but just not sure how to do that. Great shot.
Thanks Angela. Nice words from you :)
To help you how to catch a photo like this here you can see my EXIF:
Shutter speed: 8 sek
Aperture Value: 9.0
ISO: 100
Focal Length: 26.0 mm
Lens: EF17-40mm f/4L USM
Nice catch! I've never been lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time.
Thank you very much Scott. It's nice to hear that you like it :)
