Congrats on another great one!

Great composition. It shows the strength and honor of the katana. Too bad they were both Caucasian! ;-) |
perhaps that is why I chopped their heads off. ;-) |
I like it very much too.. I find all these japanese motives very fascinating :) |
This was the first year I had the opportunity to go to the Cherry Blossom Festival with Mark, and it was very fascinating indeed. Thanks Daria. |

Nice to see this published Tracy! It was an easy vote ;-)! I like the strong pose, the graphical composition and crop, the symetry of the pose of the men and yet with a tension in the difference in the way they hold their swords.
And the texture of the fabric! Perfect dof!
Great shot IMO.

Thanks you. This sat in screening for several days, so I wasn't sure if it would make it through the head screeners. Some people were not keen on the comp but I had done it that way because I felt that the texture of the fabric really added to the image, so I really appreciate the nod on the fabric. :-) |
This is great, Tracy! Adorable composition, perfectly sharp and their stance is filled with tension! Would be a great companion to Mark's "Kimono" shot IMHO. Both have this great texture of the fabric, and the hands tell a whole story by themselves. Just great! Congratulations!

Thank you Michael, I hadn't really thought of it a companion piece to Marks Kimono but now that you mention it... :-) |
Ha ha. We almost used the exact same wordings when writing at the same time. LOL.
