kcranmer wrote 1 month ago I used to live in CA, and haven't seen these wind mills since I was a young child, this is truly an amazing shot!!! Jerry Berry replied 1 month ago Well you must have had some telescope. This image was taken in central Iowa. But we do have these types of windmills in Altamont (N. CA), Tehachape (my IR windmills in S. CA) and near Palm Springs. Thank you for your compliment. The motion rendering, the colors, all this make it a beautifull image Jerry Berry replied 2 months ago Thanks Jef. The motion rendering to me means you may think that i created the motion effect in the wind mills. They were actually moving. I am sure that is what you meant. Thank you again. JB A really special photo, love the motion and the rainbow that gives a natural framing. Great composition as well. Well done! / E Jerry Berry replied 2 months ago Thanks Scott. Someone mentioned in screening the magenta cast. I see it but think it might be because of the moisture in the air. Not a problem for me and glad it wasn't an issue for all the screeners. It was an interesting shoot. Scott Crouse replied 2 months ago what! oh my some folks are being way to critical. :) I'm a sucker for colour but this would even get my attention in B&W. The composition alone is great. But man, those colours! Jerry Berry replied 2 months ago I am pretty sure that comment was just a comment and that screener still voted for it to be published. Sometimes I have little minor critiques and still vote to publish. I mention them and let the person know I still voted for it. So I don't have any problems with it and really do appreciate it. Thanks again. Ursula I Abresch wrote 2 months ago I didn't know Iowa could be this beautiful, Jerry :) Lovely image. Jerry Berry replied 2 months ago Well Ursula, if you like corn fields with a few soy bean fields mixed in, it can be very beautiful. This was taken shortly after a thunderstorm passed over. A good time to go out for a shoot. I got pretty lucky. We shall see if I can come up with another gem from this evening that will fit in. Thanks Martin Gremm wrote 2 months ago Great colors, refreshingly different subject matter, and a perfect choice of shutter speed. I like this a lot! Jerry Berry replied 2 months ago Thank you Martin. Lucky me being at the right place at the right time. Jerry Berry replied 2 months ago Thanks Michael. Yes different as of late, but usually what I find myself capturing. Don't want anybody to get bored with too many of the others. Jerry Berry replied 2 months ago Thank you Brent. It was a hectic time with rainbows in one direction, lightning in another and a great sunset in another. I didn't know where to point the camera :-) |
