doro rapp wrote 3 months ago excellent in so many aspects, tones, contrast, composition with so many lines leading to the girl, who's posture seems graceful yet hesitant maybe for me. all those shoes are a nice detail too and indicate how crowded the space is there...kudos to you! and glad it is published here. Tom Hoops replied 3 months ago Thank you very much Doro. I will try and put up more from this place....If i can get them through of course. :) In the bits and pieces of the composition there's a heart-breaking story. Apart from anything else, you wonder about the connection between the man and the child until you notice his imperative right-hand index finger. The framed picture of the child makes you think 'well, they're loved'; but then why is this just tossed aside on the top of a washing machine? Somebody retreats into the shadows and you think, for the girl, where will all this lead, but then you know the answer and you also know that this is just the microcosm. I find this very moving. Tom Hoops replied 3 months ago Edmund it's comments like that that make it worthwhile..A heartfelt thank you. |
