Thomas Ljungberg wrote 2 months ago There is that abandoned playground again... Wonderful work, strong mood. /Thomas Angela Bacon-Kidwell replied 2 months ago Thomas, Yes noone is ever that playground. It is at a lake that is not very popular but I find it interesting and quiet. Thanks. King Douglas wrote 2 months ago Is your camera water-proof? It must rain a lot more where you life than it does in Dallas...we really need the rain. I find myself looking for places to go the next time it rains in order to create some pale homage to your great work. This is just great. Angela Bacon-Kidwell replied 2 months ago lol! This was taken winter o7- Heavy fog at the lake-no rain. It does rain here more than in Dallas and the weather is really awesome today. Just got back from the lake and got some cool stuff. Thank you, King. King Douglas replied 2 months ago Fooled me...thought that was rain. Which lake? Is your camera waterproof? Angela Bacon-Kidwell replied 2 months ago Lake Arrowhead- a very small lake but has proven to give me some ok stuff. No, not waterproof. That would be nice. Check your email. Angela Bacon-Kidwell replied 3 months ago Tom, thank you for taking the time to comment. I really appreciate it. Fernand Hick wrote 3 months ago With to have done Angela, again a great shot so well balanced, and love your particular mood in these green dyes. And the chain near the crow seems do say that the crow is the garden of the place... A marvellous work Angela, congrats, Fernand John Rosca wrote 3 months ago This should be added to the forum "How to create a Masterpiece" Can't explain it, very deep and impressive... Mark Kitaoka wrote 3 months ago Angela, last year I marveled at an image in Black and White Photography's images of the year. The first place contestant for that year had shot two crows facing one another 'crowing' on pilings. I was completely enthralled by that image and the story and mood it conveyed. This piece is even more powerful and telling than the one I just described. The empty children's area, the atmosphere created by the fog and the visual line that lead to the mystery of the crow is all magnificently composed to tell an ominous story. The frozen ground and your choice of composition and the dreamy contrast all conspire to move this image far beyond the one I so admired last year. Great work and masterful storytelling. Angela Bacon-Kidwell replied 3 months ago Mark, I am very touched and moved by your comment. I honor your comments because of their true integrity. I happy this image caught your eye and mind. All I really try and do is create stories so thank you again. joan kocak wrote 3 months ago no words...it's all been said. ok, how about one of the most captivating images i've seen in a long time, and one I have to keep going back to- Angela Bacon-Kidwell replied 3 months ago Joan, A huge Thank you! The presence of the crow and the unseen presence of children through that plaything there. A discomforting beautigul photo, technically superb as per usual with you. not completely sure..but I recognized this as yours, in screening:-)) an impressive atmosphere and a <great feeling> image very well executed and composed. U gerard sexton wrote 3 months ago some images just scream class this is one of them a simple but haunting image the three key elements the empty park the bird & the mist send a shiver down my spine as i contemplate the story that is about to unfold. Martin Gremm wrote 3 months ago Very moody and nicely ambiguous. I have been sitting here for a few minutes trying out different story lines and haven't come close to running out of interesting possibilities. Angela Bacon-Kidwell replied 3 months ago Martin, Thanks for taking the time to think on it for a bit. :) Angela Bacon-Kidwell replied 3 months ago Thank you, I've always felt very sad about this picture taken last year. So, I have just passed it up. But, latley I'm feeling a sadness I can't explain with words so here I remember this one and it fits in with how I'm feeling. Ok- to much information. Sorry, only half awake. Haunting image like something out of an Poe story Angela, and so impressive as always!Love the composition and green tones!
